Butter & Co. began with a simple frustration: after 15 years in the baking industry, founder Naomi Gauthier had grown tired of seeing perfectly good cake tops go unused or end up discarded. She wanted to find a way to make every part of the baking process count.

The answer was cake jars — thoughtfully layered desserts that bring together soft cake, buttercream, fillings and house-made toppings in a perfectly portioned glass jar.

But the idea grew into something more than reducing waste. Butter & Co. was created for those moments when you want something sweet without needing a reason to celebrate or an entire cake to share. A quiet Tuesday evening, a night in with someone you love, or simply a little something for yourself.

We believe dessert can be an everyday pleasure: carefully made, thoughtfully portioned and worth slowing down for.

And when the occasion calls for something more, that same approach carries through to our wedding favours, sweet tables and celebration desserts.
